About 10:00 in the morning Albert was attacked by 8-10 “mad” honey-bees, which crawled under his pants and shirt, in the school playground.
Day 1
Morning symptoms: he had about 8 stings (6 on right shoulder and 2 on inside of right leg/ groin) that looked just like mosquito bites
Afternoon symptoms: Spots on shoulder getting bigger, red and puffy/ about one inch in each. He had a spot on his right leg where 2 of the stings were coming together, of about 3 x 5 inches; raised, cloudy, puffy and had a white outline, a purple spot right in the middle/eyes sunken/ dark brown rings under eyes
Prescription:
To neutralize venom: a few grains of Salt by mouth every 5 to 10 minutes/ Baking soda applied wet locally
Apis 30C every 30-45 minutes/ olfactory and locally
Lachesis 1Q every hour for purple spot which indicates internal hemorrhage
Evening symptoms: overall improvement/ spot spreading, much bigger (MM: spreading is a good sign, venom is diluting)/ very tight in the middle/less raised/ less purple/ less puffy/ still cloudy/ itchy
Prescription:
Apis 31C every hour
Continue Lachesis 1Q (for up to 10 doses)
Continue baking soda applied wet locally
Day 2
Symptoms: overall improvement continues/ Spot on leg: same size/ less purple/less hot/less red/less bright/ pinky looking/ swelling bad/ blowing up. Spot on shoulder: there is a spot where half the stinger is still in, it broke off/ spot getting much bigger/ swelling, very tight, very red, very hot
Prescription:
Apis 32 C every 1-2 hours
Continue Lachesis 1Q (for up to 10 doses)
Continue baking soda applied wet locally
Day 3
Symptoms: overall improvement continues/ spots spread and shrink, spread and shrink/ purple gone/ bruise looking, bluish and green
Prescription:
Apis 33 C every 3-4 hours
Hepar 3X every hour to help expel the stinger
Discontinue Lachesis
Arnica 30 C for bruising
Continue baking soda applied wet locally
Day 4
Morning Symptoms: sting came off!!/ every spot gone!!/ no trace of anything!!/ Albert asks: “Mom, do you wanna play “Guess which leg it was??”
