Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, MD, was truly an amazing man. Not only is he the father of modern homeopathy, establishing the fundamental principles of the science and art, but he was one of the first physicians to:
1. Advise a humane treatment for the mentally ill. He cured many mental patients with homeopathy, and became famous for this success.
2. Recognize poor hygiene as a contributory cause to the spread of disease. His success with cholera and typhoid fever was in part due to this recognition.
3. Emphasize the importance of nursing, diet, bed rest, & isolation of patients during epidemic diseases. He described ‘noxious’ principles as the precursors of certain disease states.
He is called the “Father of Experimental Pharmacology” (Weil) because he was the first physician to describe the specific action of drugs; to prepare medications in a specialized way; first testing them on healthy human beings to determine how the medicines acted to cure diseases; and the first to prescribe drugs on a rational basis. Before Hahnemann, medicines were given on speculative indications, mainly on the basis of authority without experimental verification.

In 1790, Hahnemann did his first proving on this substance to see what symptoms it caused.
Homeopaths call this scientific testing a “proving” of a substance and base the Homeopathic Materia Medica on the results of such tests. Read more about this landmark proving here.

Dental Gum Pockets Getting Healthy – Testimonial
“Finally, I just talked to the gal who does my dental cleaning because I wanted to be sure that all of my info is completely accurate. So, here it goes:
For the past year or more, my gum pockets had started getting worse (normal range is between 1-3) and I had 4 teeth that were measured at a number 4 and 1 was a number 5. If this had continued, I would have had to have a procedure to scrape the tooth root and tighten the gum tissue that holds my teeth. I started using diluted Calendula Mother Tincture as a mouthwash 5 months before my last dental appointment (I have these appointments for cleaning, etc., every 6 months) and my dental hygienist gal was pleasantly surprised with my clean mouth.

Homeopathy is better than placebo!
Several systematic reviews and meta-analysis of homeopathy have been performed. However, none had looked solely at placebo-controlled trials of individualized homeopathic treatment as delivered by homeopaths in practice. A research team has have now performed such an analysis and found that homeopathic medicines, when prescribed during individualized treatment, are 15 to 20 times more likely to have beneficial effect than placebo.

All Aboard the Hahnemann Train!
Monuments have been erected in his honor, streets have been named after him, he is featured on stamps, and now the founder of homeopathy, Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, is being recognized in the form of a moving tribute – a train! On August 27, 2015 a train was baptized in the name of Samuel Hahnemann at the modern train station in Köthen (Anhalt) Germany.
Köthen has become the destination for many homeopaths as they set out for a historical voyage that is rich in homeopathy. It has gained popularity because Dr. Hahnemann lived, practiced and contributed his best works there. It is from Köthen that his teachings went out to the world and enrich all of our lives today. It is the home of the restored Hahnemann House, the German Central Association of Homeopathic Physicians, European Library for Homeopathy, and more.
The German Central Association of Homeopathic Physicians cordially welcomed attendees in Köthen, Germany for the train’s ribbon cutting ceremony, and paid tribute to the merits of Samuel Hahnemann in their speeches.
Sensitivity in Teeth and Chalazion resolved with homeopathy!
Female, 62, had extensive restorative dental work done on the left side of her mouth including 1 crown, 3 partial crowns (all redone with porcelain) and 5 amalgam replacements (with composite fillings). In the first few weeks she noticed some fatigue and aching which soon resolved. However, sensitivity on the left side in her teeth did not immediately resolve and persisted over the next several weeks at which time she called for help. Lachesis seemed to fit the symptoms best and quickly resolved the sensitivity while at the same time, improved the overall outlook of the patient (according to reports from close family members).
The same 62-year-old female called several weeks later with a “chalazion” on her lower left eyelid. This “stye” like inflammation (see example picture) was a little larger than a lentil and causing irritation and sensitivity to touch as it became progressively larger.
